Disagreeing productively is a skill. And not everyone has it. When someone disagrees with leadership do they silently go along anyway? Do they silently drag their feet? Do they confront directly? Are they able to disagree in a way that brings important new perspectives into the room while not putting people on the defensive? Or do the veiled ultimatums start flying? You want a fighter. But he should know when to fight. And he should fight fair.
